We have several laying hens and a few hens just about to start laying for sale. The young ones are Prairie Blue Bells which are a cross between Aracaunas and Leghorns, so they lay like Leghorns but blue eggs like the Aracaunas. Their personalities are extremely friendly and ours fly onto our shoulders to see what we have to feed them.
